Product: Bauxite stones
Among other things, the company Trafiroad uses bauxite stones as an anti-slip layer on existing asphalt. Immediately after applying an epoxy adhesive, the bauxite pebbles are scattered copiously with a gritter. After the adhesive cures, the excess granules are brushed up and cleaned with a specially designed sweeper for later reuse.
After sweeping up the material, everything is put into big bags. It is these bigbags that had to be sieved in a smooth manner to separate the bauxite pebbles from twigs, leaves, pebbles …
After a successful test, a customized machine was designed. Big bags had to be able to stand under and in front of the machine and a big bag had to be emptied in one movement.
The machine had to be mobile, as well as a mobile platform. A 0.5 kW vibrating motor was placed on the hopper.
